Where to eat in Con Dao?
The open-air restaurant in Saigon
Con Dao Resort is the liveliest place to go in the evening due to the
Vietnamese tourists, who gather to drink and sing folk songs. The enclosed
restaurant at Con Dao Resort has shiny white floor tiles, limited decor and
very little atmosphere, although the opportunity to eat outside on the patio
may swing it. In all these restaurants ordering seafood is a guaranteed hit as
everything is fresh.
There are
also some cafes serving very basic and cheap local Vietnamese lunch. You'll
find them on the main roads of Nguyen Hue and Tran Phu and can try during your trip to Con Dao. Phuong Hanh Restaurant (38C Nguyen Hue Street) is the style of family
management. With an attractive menu, good service and excellent cuisine, this
restaurant would send you the flavors of the cuisine of Con Dao.
